Bo at his new home with his new family.
boafteradoption.jpg
This "old:" dog has learned :"new" is a good thing.

Bo as some of you may remember was left in a garage when his family of 7 yrs moved and could not take him.  He was adopted by a wonderful family and is now living in a home full of love and kindness for his final years with all the respect this gentle giant mastiff deserves.

Snoop at about 8 wks old.

Snoop now

When I got him from you he weighed 12lbs. and now weighs 70lbs. . He runs like a greyhound, he is very tall, long legged and super muscular. I give him home cooked chicken everyday with his IAMS. Everyone comments on how handsome he is. The picture does not do him justice. He still has a puppy face and I think of him as my little baby. He love to retrieve and LOVES squeaky toys. Snoop goes everywhere with me, even to work. His favorite thing to do is go to "puppy play school."
Snoop helps get new dogs acclimated to the group and helps Ben, the 2 legged pack leader. I am so happy I have Snoop, he brings so much love and joy to me. It was a fluke that he landed in my lap because he was slated for New York but that fell through when the transport lady didn't want him., lucky for me!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for my beloved boy!

Brat was named appropriatly as he was and is a true brat.  From the time he was pulled from the Boone county dog pound (March of 2008) a few days before he was to be put down until the latest update around Christmas he has chewed up and eaten everything loose (including furniture, telephones, shoes, belts etc...)  But those big brown eyes and that "What did I do?" expression never allow time to be mad at him.  He went to a wonderful home with a very patient family who are dealing with Brats "flaws".  His new mommy has expressed her love and bond with him several times and would not part with him for love nor money.  He is a very fortunate boy to have found such a loving, forgiving and compassionate home.

Known as Gunner when he was rescued.

Renamed Tavi by his adopted mommy.

Originally named Gunner, this very large, sweet Newfoundland Hound Mix had been a neighborhood dog that wandered the streets.  When he landed in the county pound with only hours to go before his death sentence was carried out. he was confused and scared.  The first encounter with Gunner was the eye contact that melted my heart and compelled me to pull him and take him home with me.  Upon inspection of Gunner it was discovered that he had skin problems, a bad tooth, and was underweight.  After taking pictures and putting him on the website and Petfinder Gunner had a home and was adopted by wonderful, experienced people,
Gunner, AKA Tavi would have been one of the many dogs to receive the death sentence at the county pound without anyone knowing his intelligence, warmth, beauty and magnigicent personality.  So many dogs do not get that just in time rescue and die simply because of overcrowding.  Cheers to Tavi who is sharing his good fortune with others and making a difference in so many lives.
